Carmen Legge of The Curse of Oak Island was born in Kentville, Nova Scotia. Carmen is a blacksmith expert known for his appearance on this reality show.
Legge resides in his hometown and works as the Museum-blacksmithing interpreter at Ross Farm Museum in Nova Scotia.
As per his Facebook account, he studied at Horton High School. He is a graduate of Kingstec Campus. He studied electrician.

Carmen has been fascinated by blacksmithing from the young age of 8. His dad’s causing had a blackberry shop and was in the blacksmithing business.
Per his Youtube interview, he was hired at Ross Farm Museum in 2003. He has worked for over 17 years as a blacksmith and in the farmhand ox team.
He disclosed in another Youtube interaction that because of no formal way of learning blacksmithing, he had to rely on the knowledge of other fellow blacksmiths to learn the techniques. He credits his senior named, Roy Levy for the wisdom he passed on to him.
Carmen also accounts for Stephen Workman, another senior blacksmith, for his expertise and knowledge.
He stated that he had made large hinges throughout his career. Legge worked in the construction of the gate of the Halifax Citadel.
It was four feet long and has the same width as the length. They were about three-quarters thick, representing the English Style. He recalls that the hammer work accurately reproduces the English Style.

They get permission from the archeologist to remove the log from the structure. The three treasure hunters start theorizing about the intention of creating a slipway. Martin points out that it might have helped people transport goods easily from the ocean to the land.
In between the discussion, Gray Drayton takes his metal detector and searches over the ruins from Smith’s Cove. He comes across an iron hinge that appears to be beaten.
Gray reveals the hinge to Craig Tester and Rick Lagina. They suspect it to be an old artifact.
After a while, Marty Lagina, Dough Crowell, and Alex Lagina head to the Ross Farm Museum in New Ross, Nova Scotia. We see the blacksmith expert Carmen Legge meeting the trio for the first time.
The iron artifact is handed to Legge. He tells them that the piece is from 1650 to 1800. He states that the metal is very thick and very old.
